Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)
The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is designated to help limited income families acquire skills necessary to maintain nutritionally-sound diets. You can learn about nutrition individually or in small groups. Most participants complete the EFNEP curriculum in fewer than 12 months. Participants Learn How to:
- Choose healthful food for their families
- Plan and prepare quick meals
- Choose nutritious snacks for children
- Prepare new foods and recipes
- Use safe food handling techniques
- Compare prices and save on food bills
